David J. Lynch (he/him) is a Tony Award-winning and multi–Tony-nominated Broadway producer, business analyst, and data strategist working at the intersection of storytelling, finance, and systems design.

David J. Lynch is best known for applying an analytics-first lens to theatrical production—building data-informed strategies to make bold, artist-driven work more financially sustainable and scalable.

As a commercial producer, David's credits include POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, Parade (2023 Tony Award), Harmony, An Enemy of the People (2024 Tony Nomination), Romeo and Juliet (2025 Tony Nomination), The Last Five Years, and The Queen of Versailles. Through his company DJL Productions, David is actively developing a slate of new musicals and plays in partnership with non-profits, commercial offices, and independent artists. In addition to his own producing work, David has consulted with numerous Broadway producers on data strategy, financial modeling, and investor relations—helping them analyze historical trends, assess project viability, and raise capital more efficiently.

David began his career at the Dock Street Theater in Charleston, SC, where he launched the Southeast’s first sensory-friendly performance program for children on the autism spectrum—a project honored with the Boeing Vision Award. He studied Statistics and Theater, Dance & Media at Harvard University, where he focused on using quantitative modeling to evaluate Broadway success. While at Harvard, he served as Vice President of The Hasty Pudding Theatricals—spearheading the organization’s first gender-inclusive production in 170+ years—and as advertisement manager for The Harvard Lampoon, where he brokered 100+ partnerships with companies like Netflix, Peloton, and A24.

Since graduating, David has worked at the forefront of quantitative research and private equity, first as an associate at Two Sigma and now on the Operating Expense team at Link Logistics (a Blackstone portfolio company), where he specializes in multi-market budgeting, cost optimization, and data automation at scale. This work deeply informs his producing practice, particularly his ability to translate financial complexity into investor-ready strategy and sustainable creative development.

As the founder of DJL Productions, David is building a new kind of producing practice - one rooted in analysis, empathy, and the belief that theater can be both artistically daring and fiscally sound. He is especially passionate about telling stories that reframe American identity and center underrepresented voices. He is a regular collaborator with producers, creatives, and non-profit leaders across the industry.

David’s mission is simple: to help build a Broadway that is artistically fearless, financially sound, and built to last.
